The summary below lists the books of Jozef Rulof you can store on your computer or forward to others - free and without obligations.

The abbreviations after the titles indicate the type of file (epub1, etc.). There are many file formats in the computer world - each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Below the table is a brief explanation so that you can determine what is the best format for you.

If you use the Internet Explorer it may be that the pages do not display properly. That's because there are many 'bugs' (errors) in this program. To display the pages as intended Firefox is the best choice. Firefox is free and very easy to install.

TIP: Use the right mouse button to download a file. You will then get a choice of menu. If you use the left mouse button it might be that the file will be opened immediately, instead of getting the opportunity to save the file.

HTML

The 'language' of the World Wide Web. The page you are reading now is written in this language.

Choose 'site.html.zip' if this site looks good on your screen.

The HTML pages are encased in a 'zip file'.

It is this zip you copy to your hard drive (by right clicking on it with the mouse). Unpacking it is done by right clicking again, but now on the file unichristi_en.zip stored on your hard drive. The file 'index.html' is the page you click on to start reading.

TXT

The data in TXT files (letters, numbers, punctuation marks) are the building blocks for many other formats. Each computer can handle them, even the somewhat older.

Choose 'txt1', txt2', etc., if you wish the books in a universal, basic format.

The TXT files you download here are also encased in a 'zip'.

You need a text editor (a program) to read them. An excellent free text editor can be found in OpenOffice. This software with many office programs is, like the Firefox browser, made by the 'Open Source' society.

EPUB

The ePub format is intended for so-called eReaders. These are devices with which it is pleasant to read. But also with other devices such as tablets or PCs this file format can be read. You need a separate program or 'app' then. For the PC, you can use 'Calibre' (also 'Open Source').

PDF

In a pdf the layout is fixed. It is therefore difficult to display on smaller devices (horizontal scrolling). Choose this format, which usually requires fairly large files, only if you want to read a book on devices with a bigger screen.
